As we reflect back today, the words “I have a dream” have inspired generations. They are words of encouragement that ask people to not only dream, but to break down the barriers to success.
I truly believe that with hard work we can be successful. It begins with ourselves, and extends through our families to our jobs and our community. It starts with us reaching out to make our community a better place. With that said, I would like to encourage people to make MLK Day a day to serve.
Use an hour of your time to start a service project. Clean up the entrance to your subdivision. Pick up the garbage strewn in a neighbors yard. Or simply help an elderly person complete something around their home.
